Patrice Landry, Chief Librarian and Deputy Executive Director of Qatar National Library

Prior to moving to Qatar in April 2018, Patrice Landry held the position of Management Support Officer at the Swiss National Library where he was  principally responsible for statistics, evaluation and standards. He was also head of the Subject Indexing service from 1996 to 2012. Prior to moving to Switzerland, Patrice Landry held various management positions at the Library and Archives Canada and at the Canadian Institute for Historical Microreproductions (CIHM). He holds Masters from McGill University and University of Ottawa and is currently a PhD candidate at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. He has published and presented in the areas of subject indexing, multilingual subject access, library value, and library standards. His current research interest is in the field of library assessment and value of national libraries.
