Janne Andresoo, Director General, National Library of Estonia
Janne Andresoo earned her MA in Information Science from the Tallinn University. She joined the National Library of Estonia in 1994 and worked as Chief Bibliographer, Head of National Bibliography Unit and Head of Research and Development Centre before being elected Director General in 2008. On 15 September 2018 she started her third term of office in the library as Director General. In 2004-2006 Janne Andresoo was Chairman of the Estonian Librarians’ Association. She has been an active member of both Estonian and international organisations and institutions. Janne has been a member of the executive bodies of CENL and IFLA National Libraries Section, she currently belongs to the CDNL Executive Board. Janne is also a board member of a number of Estonian institutions, e.g the Estonian Archives Board, Board of Estonian Research Libraries, Board of the Institute of Digital Technologies at the Tallinn University. In 2013 Janne Andresoo earned MSc in Business Administration from the University of Tartu.
